I happen to be chronically ill, since i was about 17. Last time i visited my specialist, and i complained about being SO tired all the time and that it depressed me, he told me, i should view my disease and myself differently. He said: "Having Crohns disease, is like being an athlete, it's top sport for the body to deal with it, it's natural for you to be so tired,...it's the... Read More »
10,000 is more than 500.
I used to work for a large electronics store that is now out of a business (take a guess) in a relatively busy area. I was on the sales floor selling TV's and home audio. One day I had a abnormally large sale in the works so I was catering to this couple. Im explaining TV differences and everything in our theater room, when i see a guy walk in with his ghetto GF out the corner of my eye. Since I knew someone else would help them, i didnt acknowledge them. He proceeded to walk in and out about 10 times in 30 minutes. After the sale was done, i got confronted by my manager, apparently the guy had gone up to customer service and threatened to beat the white boy who refused to help a brotha (the couple i made the sale to were black) I got scolded and asked why, when i explained the sale i had just gotten, my manager looked me straight in the face and told me I should have stopped to help the other guy because he wanted to buy a $500 tv and would be back way more than the customer buying $10,000 worth of merchandise. No wonder they went bankrupt.
I used to be able to get back from lunch at 12:30 and know that there would be a fresh batch of uPick submissions to read, but now I have to actually do some work as it is not being updated everyday!!!!

One day, I walked up to a lady's house where the front door was open. As soon as I rang the bell, I heard the jingle of dog tags & realized I was too far away from the vehicle to get back there in time, so I braced myself.... Read More »
I work at Wal-Mart as a Wireless Sales Associate (basically electronics), and we have this one reoccurring older African-American customer who comes in with the assumption that we are some type of IT or Geek Squad. Well anyways, he comes in about a week ago, and brings his laptop. The laptop that he has is a Compact with Windows XP (a bit outdated I must say). Anyways, he pulls... Read More »
I work private security, we have lately been having a lot of issues with access control and breaches (people not allowed to be there, being there.) so we have one officer who is in charge of training all of the officers in proper breach control. During his breach test, he failed and got a slap on the wrist. During mine, I passed but I missed a minor detail and got written up and... Read More »
